More than 10,000 spectators watched the Ski Jumping World Cup at the Olympic Complex for Winter Sports in Valea Cărbunării, Râșnov, supporting the 89 athletes who took part in the competition. The atmosphere was all the more spectacular as the event took place, for the first time for Romania, on the illuminated slope in the night system.

"Armed" with flags, horns and vuvuzelas, the spectators from Romania, but also the fans from Poland, Slovenia or Austria created an electrifying atmosphere, despite the fact that the weather did not "keep up" with the sport.

"The World Cup stage held over the weekend in Râșnov was a real success. The efforts made to bring the night installation from Austria paid off, because over 10,000 spectators enjoyed, during the four days, a real show sport in an atmosphere that we can hardly describe in words. The weather was quite capricious, and the wind and rain gave us a bit of a headache. However, all in all, we proved once again that that Romania can and deserves to host important international competitions in winter sports", announced the organizers.
